Nestlé 2023 Needs YOUth BURSARY COMPETITION
Participants in the Nestlé Needs YOUth BURSARY Competition to stand a chance to win 1 of 2 Bursaries to study any South African University. Valid only in South Africa.
- Participation in this Competition is governed by these terms and conditions (the “Rules“).
- You, as the participant, are encouraged to review the Rules before entering into the Competition and acknowledge that they have been given an appropriate opportunity to do so and that they understand and accept these Rules.
- This competition is operated by Nestlé South Africa (Pty) Limited (“Nestlé and/or Promoters“)
- Your participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Rules and you agree to abide by these Rules.
By participating in this Competition, Participants agree to the rules set out below.
- This Competition is limited to legal residents and/or legal citizens of the Republic of South Africa. In addition, the following people shall not be eligible to participate in this Competition:
- Directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of the Promoters.
- Spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified above.
- People who are not legal residents and/or legal citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
- Persons over the age of 25 years.
- The Competition shall commence on 20 February 2023 at 00:00:01am and will end on 28 February 2023 at 23:59:59pm (“Promotional Period“). No entries received after 28 February 2023 at 23:59:59pm will be considered.
The Prizes
Participants in this Competition stand a chance to win 1 of 2 Bursaries to study any South African University. Valid only in South Africa.
Claiming your Prize
- The two posts with the most engagements on the chosen social media platform will be selected as the winners. A total of 2 winners will be selected.
- At the time that a potential prize winner is identified, the potential prize winner will receive a telephone call or direct message (DM) from a representative of the Promoters to their Facebook or Twitter account (whichever one they used to enter this competition) from a representative of the Promoters at which point they may be required to answer a few questions regarding their eligibility as well as be requested to submit certain documents such as a copy of their Republic of South Africa ID and qualifications to the Promoter’s representative.
- A potential prize winner is not an actual winner at the time of being contacted. Contact is made with a potential prize winner to ensure that the required receipt/s is available. Once the till slip has been supplied and validated, the mobile number of the potential winner is placed into a randomised draw process from which they could be selected as the final winner. The final winner may be required to submit additional documentation as determined by the Promoters. If a potential prize winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a redraw will be executed subject to the terms and conditions herein. A potential prize winner will also have 48 hours to produce the relevant documentation before forfeiting the prize and a runner up chosen.
- If the Promoters are unable to reach any of the potential prize winners after 3 (three) attempts made within 3 (three) working days of their mobile number being drawn, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers or no answer, such a potential winner will be disqualified and a redraw will be executed subject to the terms and conditions herein. A potential prize winner will also have 48 hours to produce the relevant documentation before forfeiting the prize and a runner up chosen.
- If the Promoters are unable to reach any of the potential prize winners after 3 (three) attempts made within 3 (three) working days of their mobile number being drawn, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers or no answer, such a potential winner will be disqualified and a redraw will be executed.
Competition Mechanics
- To participate in this competition, participants are required to record a one minute video of themselves motivating why they should be awarded the bursary, share their story on Facebook or Twitter and tag the Nestlé ESAR page @NestleESAR using the hashtag #NestléneedsYOUth. The participant should ensure that their entry is visible to the promoter by having a public profile on the social media channel chosen to participate.
- Participants may enter the competition once over the Promotional Period, provided that participants complete the competition entry, subject to the condition that only one prize per household and per number / person will be permitted.
