Late Muhammad Kabir 2.0 Activism Award is an annual Social Impact Award supported by Hamzat Lawal Executive Director, Connected Development (CODE) in partnership with Centre for Advocacy, Transparency and Accountability Initiative (CATAI). The award is an annual seed grant to support Startup, creative and Innovative Ideas across Nigeria in honor of late Muhammad Bukar Kabir, a passionate advocate for Girl child and social change.
The 2022 Annual Activism award will be selecting three (3) Social Enterprises and community driven initiatives with a proven track record of innovative solutions impacting the lives of vulnerable people in the northeast, Nigeria. The award offers a seed grant up to N500, 000 for the Selected winners for the late Muhammad Kabir awards of Activism. The three (3) finalists will receive the following:
First prize
• N250,000
Second Price
• N150,000
Third Price.
• N100,000
In addition to these prizes, winners stand a chance to receive other benefits such as coaching/ mentorship and acceleration of their initiatives. Five (5) semifinalists will be required to send a maximum of 2 minute explanatory video of their initiative.
Interested applicants should study the application carefully before applying and be expected to strictly adhere to character requirements, any violation will lead to disqualification and incomplete applications will not be evaluated due the competitive nature of the application. Due to the high volume of application anticipated, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted on or before 12th February, 2023.
